Trainers: Lynn Okum & Amy French
Everyone has a personal story to share. Lynn Okum will help the youth in your care put together a Lifebook that will give your youth the opportunity to tell their story. Life books help express who a person is by documenting his or her history. They connect a person with their past. Regardless of how much or how little information a youth may have, the goal remains the same: document as much as they can about their life and their history in their own personal life book. Their story is important. They are important! Youth 8 years old and above are welcome to participate with you in creating their Life book. Childcare will be available for younger children. Please bring pictures, look for awards, certificates, report cards, diplomas, artwork, poems, writing assignments, school projects, honors, or any other important items from your child’s past and present that you would like to include in the life book.
Participants will receive a certificate for 2 hours of training upon completion of the class.
