Specific topics will be addressed each month, friendships will be made and resources revealed! November Topic: Earthquake Safety. An earthquake is a sudden, rapid shaking of the earth caused by the shifting of rock beneath the earth’s surface. They strike without warning, at any time of year, day or night. The Southern California Coast area is highly susceptible to earthquakes and earthquake related effects. Numerous earthquake faults crisscross southern California and no one within the area resides more than 10 miles from an active fault. In addition to damage caused directly by ground shaking and related ground failure, other hazards such as fires can easily start during and shortly after an earthquake. Learn what to do to keep you and your loved ones safe!
Come and benefit from Nora’s 20+ years of experience as a health & safety educator in the medical field and working with foster & kinship families!
Participants will receive a certificate for 2 hours of training upon completion of the class.
